First generation Of Toyota Vios

The first generation Toyota Vios was adapted from the Toyota Platz with modified body panels, which created a significantly different appearance, although portions of the car feature design cues from the E120 Corolla[citation needed]. In late 2005, the Toyota Vios received minor cosmetic changes for the 2006 model year. The front bumper, grille, headlights, and tail lights were freshened; also new were the wheels and interior trim.
In other uses, the first generation Toyota Vios is adopted as a racing vehicle in Touring Car Championships in Indonesia and Thailand. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.3 E is the same as the J grade, only that it had different wheels, which is a 15" alloy 5-spoke wheel. The 1.5 G is the top-of-the-line segment, either mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission or 5-speed manual transmission, and the same wheel as to that of the E variant. The only difference of the 2003 Vios to the 2007 is their air dams and their fog lamp casing.

The VIOS is actually really nice. Based on the reviews I’ve read over the internet, it’s really fuel efficient and maintenance won’t be expensive since it’s a Toyota. The design is also sleek and fashionable. It’s also actually very affordable at a price tag of just PHP 575,000. That’s a very low cash out for the DP (15%) and the monthly amortization wouldn’t hurt too much. The only thing I don’t like with this one is that I keep seeing too many VIOS units around especially since Taxi companies and local police forces use them as their staple car.
